Q.Do you require insurance?

A.Yes, we do require all tenants insure their stored goods. Our storage office offers insurance through a third party (SBOATI) that you can conveniently pay with your storage rent or you can bring in proof of insurance (IE. Declarations page) when completing the rental paperwork.

Q.Do you offer services for both the household and business customer?

A.California Self Storage sets the standard when it comes to storage, and has a variety of unit sizes, payment options, and services for both the household and business custome.

Q.Are moving trucks available to help me move my belongings?

Q.Can I buy boxes and other packing products from California Self Storage?

A.Yes, we offer a wide range of moving supplies including boxes, protective covers, bubble wrap, and newsprint.

Q.Who are "on-site managers”?

A."On-site manager” means that a member of the staff, usually the owner or facility manager, lives on-site as part of the facility.

Q.Do you have video cameras?

A.Yes, as an added security measure, we have 9 video surveillance cameras placed around the facility. The 24/7 operating cameras are located at entry/exit points, as well as other locations.

Q.Is entry to the facility limited?

A.Access to the facility is limited by a computer-controlled gate system. Each tenant is assigned a security code that can be used to open the gate. The code is used to monitor anyone who enters and exits the facility.

Q.Do I have to provide my own lock for my storage unit?

A.No, at California Self Storage, we provide you with a lock and key for your storage units. Our unique cylinder style locks cannot be cut, ensuring the highest level of security.

Q.Do you offer RV/boat/car/motorcycle parking?

A.Unfortunately, our facility is not set up and/or equipped for outdoor storage. However, several of our larger enclosed storage units will easy accommodate most trucks, cars, boats, motorcycles and/or quads.

Q.What is a drive-up unit?

A.A drive-up is located outside and on the ground level, allowing you to easily unload/load your items with your vehicle.

Q.What's the difference between office hours and gate hours?

A.The office hours, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mon- Sat, are when our staff will be available to assist you in moving or obtaining packing supplies. You can access your unit anytime during the gate hours, which are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. Please inquire at the front office for information concerning access to your unit outside of the normal operating hours.

Q.Can I reserve a storage space in advance without a deposit?

A.We can give you the flexibility to book a reservation up to 1 week in advance ,to help you plan ahead and assist with your moving needs.

Q.What kind of security do you have?

A.California Self Storage takes great pride in protecting your belongings, and strives to provide state-of-the-art security. We feature an electronic gate with coded access, 24-hour video surveillance, security perimeter fence, a complete dusk-to-dawn lighting system, and a unique lock set up.

Q.What are the payment terms?

A.Typically, our leases are month to month, but we also offer long-term leases. We have significant discounts for customers paying quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. Rent is always due on the 1st of each month; however, we provide our customers with a 9-day grace period. We also offer AutoPay, enabling us to automatically charge your Mastercard®, Visa®, Discover®, or American Express® each month. To pay online, please access our tenant portal.

Q.Do you accept debit and credit cards?

A.We accept all major debit/credit cards, including MasterCard®, Visa®, Discover®, or American Express®.

Q.Can I pay my bill online?

A.Please access our tenant portal to pay your bills online.

Q.Do I need to provide advance notice prior to moving out?

A.Yes, a written notice that you will be vacating your unit is normally required 10 days prior to your move out.

Q.What sizes are available, and how do I pick my size?

A.We offer a wide range of sizes for your personal or business needs. Determining the right size is important, because you only want to move the items once. Our size guide will greatly simplify the process. If you’re still not quite sure which storage unit size to pick, our staff members will be glad to assist you.
