California Self Storage sets the standard when it comes to storage, and has services for both the household and business customer.


Are moving trucks available to help me move my belongings?

Can I buy boxes and other packing products from California Self Storage?

Yes, we offer a wide variety of boxes, protective covers and packing supplies, including bubble wrap and newsprint.


What does "on-site" manager mean?

"On-site" manager means that a professional member of the staff, usually the Store Owner or Manager, lives on-site as part of the facility.


Do you have video cameras?

Yes, we have 9 video surveillance cameras strategically located in and around the facility as an added security measure. The cameras are generally located at the point of entry and exit and other areas around the facility, recording all activity 24/7.


Can anybody drive into the facility or onto this storage property?

Our facility features an electronic computer-controlled gate system, which limits access to the property and can only be opened by a security code that is assigned to each individual tenant. The code also allows us to monitor who is entering and exiting the facility.


What is a roll-up door?

Roll-up doors are the most common type of door at self-storage facilities. They are accessed by sliding a latch and lifting the door upward, similar to the motion of a garage door. Roll-up doors are easy to operate and enable the tenants to maximize the usage of their space.


Do I have to provide my own lock for my storage unit?

No, at California Self Storage we provide you with a key and lock for your storage unit. Our unique cylinder style lock cannot be cut, ensuring the highest level of security.


Do you offer RV/boat/car/motorcycle parking?

Unfortunately our facility is not set up and/or equipped for outdoor storage. However, several of our larger enclosed storage units will easy accommodate most trucks, cars, boats, motorcycles and/or quads.


What is a drive-up unit?

A drive-up unit is an outside unit, located on the ground level, providing you with the ability to easily load and unload your belongings directly from your vehicle or a truck.


What's the difference between office hours and gate hours?

The office hours are the hours of operation for the property. During these hours our friendly and professional staff will be available to assist you with your storage needs, or moving and packing supplies. The gate hours are the hours when you can gain access to your storage unit which are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. If you require access outside of our standard gate hours, please inquire at the front office for information concerning access outside of our normal operating hours.


Can I reserve a storage space in advance without a deposit?

We can give you the flexibility to book a reservation up to 1 week in advance to help you plan ahead and assist with your moving needs.


What kind of security do you have?

California Self Storage takes great pride in protecting your belongings and strives to provide state-of-the-art security. We feature an electronic gate with coded access, 24 hour video surveillance, security perimeter fence, a complete dusk-to-dawn lighting system, and a unique lock set up, that cannot be cut.


What are the payment terms?

At California Self Storage we strive to make your storage experience as painless as possible, including paying your bill. Typically, our leases are month-to-month, but we also offer the flexibility of long-term leases and significant discounts for those customers who pay quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. Rent is always due on the 1st of each month; however, we do provide our customers with a 9-day grace period. We also offer AutoPay, enabling us to automatically charge your Mastercard®, Visa®, Discover®, or American Express® each month. Do you accept debit and credit cards?

Yes, we gladly accept debit cards and all of the major credit cards, including MasterCard®, Visa®, Discover®, or American Express®.


Can I pay my bill online?

Yes, paying your bill online is available on the home page of our web site and can be processed through the “make a payment” button.


When I decide to move out, do I have to give any advance notice?

Yes, a written notice that you will be vacating your unit is normally required 10 days prior to your move out.


What sizes are available and how do I pick my size?

We offer a wide range of sizes to accommodate your needs. Sizes range from 5x5, or 25 square feet, to 10x30, or 300 square feet. Determining the right size is important because you only want to move the items once. Our space finder or storage solutions will greatly simplify the process. However, if you’re not quite sure, one of our staff members will gladly show you the different size units available and assist you in this process.
